The Marketing Manager (Sponsorships) is responsible for providing leadership in the development, activation and measurement of strategic, external partnerships. This Manager balances the needs of established business, while also leveraging existing partnerships and proactively evaluating new opportunities to drive key marketing objectives – including brand awareness and consideration, product positioning, loyalty and sales enablement.
This role is part of the North American Marketing Activation Team and works directly with Senior Leadership, field leadership across the US and Canada and all internal marketing disciplines. Externally, this position collaborates regularly with sponsorship, media, and agency partners. Based on marketing, media and business objectives, this position is also responsible for creating, managing the implementation, and optimizing marketing strategies and budgets.
This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Clayton, MO, with a hybrid schedule available.
Responsibilities
Work with internal marketing departments (Portfolio & Delivery, media, etc.) on the development and execution of sponsorship assets.
Manage and support local sponsorship requests from Groups and Business Partners.
Responsible for day-to-day oversight of existing sponsorships including sponsorship agency.
Lead planning and execution of sponsorship extensions including on-site activations.
Evaluate and lead sponsorship optimization.
Coordinate project timing and budgets.
Keep apprised of all relevant Sponsorship developments, both industry and within category.
Bachelor’s Degree (relevant field of Business or Marketing preferred)
Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Six (6+) years of professional Marketing experience (agency or corporate)
Four (4+) years of Sports or Entertainment marketing strategy and activation in support of marketing/brand objectives
Preferred:
Experience managing national and/or regional Level Sponsorship relationships/partners
Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts
Brand Activation experience including on-site, digital, social
Experience with sponsorship measurement and optimization
