The Director of Partnership Activation is primarily responsible for generating and maintaining business revenue streams with local, regional and national companies through the marketing of certain property assets and fulfillment of integrated sponsorship packages with Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls. The Director of Partnership Activation will direct and manage 360-degree integrated marketing, media and promotional programs that include marketing rights, on premise signage, game sponsorships, hospitality, promotions, event marketing, content, new media and digital assets.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the activation activities for existing Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls partnerships to address prospective sponsor marketing/business goals and to extend internal company goals.
  • Renew and grow existing corporate sponsorship and media partnerships through continued outstanding service and up selling of additional sponsorship assets into current partnership agreement
  • Work closely with other members of Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls to achieve property goals while meeting personal sales and account management objectives
  • Establish strong working relationships with local, regional and national companies to help market the assets of Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls and to understand individual marketing and business goals and initiatives.
  • Develop annual reports for key partnerships to review and enhance activation.
  • Develop and execute marketing efforts to promote Hall of Fame Village powered by Johnson Controls and its assets. ·
  • All aspects of customer service and client relationship building, including:
  • Cultivating relationships with current and prospective sponsors.
  • Entertaining existing and new sponsors during hospitality and events.
  • Contributes to any efforts, thoughts or actions used to boost overall revenue for the organization.

    Required Skills

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in marketing, sport marketing, communications, or business administration.
  • 7 + years’ experience in marketing or partnership administration, preferably in
  • a professional sports or resort environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to gain and enhance the respect and trust of superiors, peers, subordinates, customers and the investment community. Most importantly, the ideal candidate will be ethical and have an unquestioned level of personal and professional integrity.

  • Must reside or relocate to the Canton, Ohio area.


    Physical Requirements for Position:

  • The ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly.
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain, steps, or in construction zones.
  • The ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time as required for the position.
