As a Corporate Sponsorship Senior Lead within PNC's Corporate Sponsorship Team organization, you will be based in Houston TX, Denver CO, Dallas TX, San Antonio TX, or Phoenix, AZ.


This is a hybrid position which provides flexibility to work both in the office and remotely and is based in Houston, TX, Dallas TX, San Antonio TX, Denver CO, Austin TX, or Phoenix AZ. Certain job responsibilities may require time in the office on a regular basis.

  • Serve as a sponsorship consultant to local markets across PNC’s footprint
  • Evaluate proposals and perform contract negotiation
  • Act as a liaison with external organizations
  • Assist with establishing the strategic direction for local market sponsorships and provide support for activation and communications
  • Identifies issues and opportunities, serves as trusted advisor to organization on all aspects of sponsorship activation, and engages other parts of the organization to ensure strategic alignment, clarity, and accuracy of brand positioning and communications
  • Collaborate with critical function areas including Corporate Marketing & Corporate Communications
  • Assist with the development of strategic marketing, media & communications plans to support sponsorship investments
  • Possess a keen understanding of social media, virtual networks and online communities and how to effectively leverage in support of sponsorships
  • Demonstrate solid business writing capabilities
  • Develop collaborative relationships with Lines of Business leadership
  • Assess sponsorship performance and evaluate success as appropriate
  • Leads cross-functional project teams, coaches, influences results
  • Consults and advises on sponsorship strategies based on data-driven insights
  • Establishes the strategic direction and oversees initiatives and materials.
  • Develops communication strategies; plans, researches, and develops content for complex communications initiatives. Identifies issues and opportunities, serves as trusted advisor to organization on all aspects of communication, and engages other parts of the organization to ensure strategic alignment, clarity, and accuracy of message.
  • Coordinates final review and approval before internal or external communications are released.
  • Leads project teams, coaches, influences outcomes, and evaluates success as appropriate.
  • Consults and advises on communications strategies based on data-driven insights.

    Required Skills

  • Copywriting and Editing – Knowledge of a variety of formats, styles, and techniques for publishing materials; ability to develop and review these materials to promote business related activities.

  • Media Channel Management – Knowledge of different media channels (e.g. TV, radio, press, etc.); ability to evaluate and select the most preferable media outlets to ensure information is effectively delivered to target audiences.
  • Organizational Communications – Knowledge of and ability to utilize the means, tools, techniques and media to communicate information about the organization internally and externally.
  • Planning: Tactical, Strategic – Ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.


    Work Experience

  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree.
  • Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
