WarnerMedia seeks a Sponsorship Operations Manager that plays a key role in delivering on the priorities of the sales organization at a tactical level.


This role serves as a liaison across several key groups, including other operations managers, development teams, trafficking teams, revenue operations teams, and product teams, ensuring smooth execution between them.


The Sponsorship Operations Manager will ensure proper execution of monetization efforts. Additionally, the Sponsorship Operations Manager will ensure continued throughput of work items by tracking work across multiple systems.


Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the inventory creation process, leading troubleshooting, and communicating with leadership of both internal and partner organizations.


In addition to these responsibilities, the Sponsorship Operations Manager will play a critical role in initiating, coordinating, and leading test efforts across all products and platforms across a variety of groups.


This role also has responsibilities in the domain of the TNT OT product, namely pre-game setup and monitoring the delivery of ads and sponsorship throughout TNT OT game events.


Furthermore, this role owns the process of ensuring development and sales calendars are aligned by maintaining the tentpole cadence documentation and calendars.


Finally, responsibilities include monitoring all live events for smooth operation, or escalation and coordination.


OPERATIONS STRATEGY

  • Manage the ads / sponsorship inventory request processes and work across ad sales, revenue ops, product, content, and technical teams to execute.
  • Monitor and support live events to manage issues real-time to ensure revenue continuity.
  • Identify risks / issues and provide mitigation strategies to triage and find resolution to maintain and improve product functionality and stability throughout the NBA season.


    OPERATIONS ROADMAP

  • Project and Operations management including reviewing all ad / sponsorship and technical requirements to ensure all work remains in scope.
  • Managing communication, documenting issues and changes that impact the timelines to properly align with sales sponsorship expectation.


    OPERATIONS DEVELOPMENT & TESTING

  • Plan, test and execute tasks across all the NBA.com platforms (responsive web, app, connected devices), to maintain and improve product functionality and stability throughout the NBA season.
  • Manage relationships with cross- functional teams at WarnerMedia and the NBA. This includes providing ads & sponsorship requirements and operational test plans.
  • Responsible for all development ticketing in JIRA and resolution of inventory tasks, features and bugs. Priority input into schedule releases and deployment maintained by product and tech teams.


    TENT-POLE CADENCE OPERATIONS

  • Ensure tentpole readiness and implementation is signed-off and set for launch date.
  • Manages the ad operations of revenue products during key events including Season Start, All-Star, Playoffs, etc.
  • Willingness to assist and triage wherever needed when asked to ensure the success of the event.


    PRESENTATIONS & COMMUNICATIONS

  • Present and communicate ads and sponsorship operational status and recap for various meetings keeping stakeholders up to date on execution while also identifying risks / issues, timing and readiness via written documentation and / or multi-level communications
  • Managing communication, documenting changes that impact revenue to properly align with sales sponsorship goals.
  • Occasional presentations and / or retrospectives after each Tent-pole and Season completion to executive leadership and other cross-functional teams.


    Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 or more years of experience managing operations and / or project
  • An ingrained sense of customer service, even if those customers are internal stakeholders; the ability to understand issues, empathize, react, and prioritize accordingly
  • Basic functional industry knowledge of the main concepts of digital ad sales, (e.g. inventory, impressions, and CPMs)
  • Some understanding of web technologies and how those systems integrate with a focus on release processes for web, mobile applications, and OTT
  • Understanding of digital media concepts (e.g. user analytics, CMSs, editorial publishing)
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing and delivering on multi-project enterprise efforts for large-scale corporations
  • Basic functional industry knowledge in Sports including industry drivers, key players, trends, business processes, and third-party service providers
  • Ability to prepare resource and time estimates with a good degree of reliability
  • Team player and willingness to work with all disciplines and groups to ensure success.
