Be a part of a fast-growing business at the FanDuel Group by helping to drive significant revenue through relationship development and growth, compelling multi-platform campaign creation and detailed execution. The Sponsorship & Advertising Sales team is a revenue-driving partnerships group within FanDuel.


This role will work with other Directors and the VP to lead on revenue driving initiatives; while leading a sales team working on all sales elements from pre-sales ideation to post-sales execution; and everything in between including creative design, development of new ad products, testing and implementation. Reporting to the VP of Sponsorship & Ad Sales, this role will be integral in leveraging FanDuel's portfolio to increase sales and to continue to develop and grow the team’s foundation to ensure the team and company continues its rapid growth. The Director of Sponsorship & Ad Sales will be accountable for achieving west coast and individual sales goals, managing their sales team, and driving a cohesive sales strategy that is aligned with the broader business goals.

THE GAME PLAN:


Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Lead, manage and mentor West Coast sales team
  • Sell advertising and integrated sponsorships across the entire FanDuel Group portfolio (Sportsbook, Fantasy, Casino, Racing & more) to national and regional brands and advertisers
  • Achieve or exceed revenue goals, and non-revenue based MBO's, where applicable
  • Maintain existing and develop new strategic relationships with large advertisers and agencies across a multitude of categories
  • Maintain and grow current knowledge of advertising industry landscape, market trends, and category/advertiser activity, particularly within the sports industry, and adjust strategy and tactics as needed
  • Utilize connections, network, and contacts to increase partnerships and sponsorships while also being comfortable rolling up sleeves to actively sell in market
  • Responsible for helping develop best-in-class sales materials for client meetings
  • Foster deep relationships with senior level executives and work with other key internal stakeholders to ensure resources and ad products are focused to maximize advertising opportunities and delivery
  • Help VP lead a functional area and strategy around sales/sponsorships that is achievable as part of the broader business strategy


    Required Skills

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in advertising and sponsorship sales with proven record of success; digital or sports background a plus
  • Deep knowledge of the advertising industry (ideally sponsorship, branded content, linear and digital) with a strong professional network of advertising professionals and agency executives
  • Superior communication and presentation skills and professional demeanor
  • Passion for developing high-growth strategies and tactical plans and seeing them through to successful execution
  • Collaborative and innovative leadership skills and the ability to develop, lead and manage talent across a successful, nimble sales team
  • Knowledge or interest in sports betting, fantasy sports, and overall sports industry important
  • Experience working in a fast paced, matrixed organization is a plus
  • Personable and approachable; no ego
