The Manager of Sponsorships will be responsible for initiating sponsorships and experiential marketing programs in a fast paced, frequently changing entrepreneurial environment, bringing Bergdorf Goodman to life through fully integrated sponsorships and non-endemic partnerships. This position reports to the Director of Brand Marketing and works closely with the marketing, public relations, stores, visual and social media team members. The position is a highly cross-functional role and is responsible for achieving a coop marketing goal bringing in sponsorship revenue on a seasonal basis. A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, is skilled in budget management, strong at ideating new marketing concepts and experience negotiating deals with external partners.


Responsibilities & Duties

  • Ability to develop commercial and strategic relationships with likeminded brands in accordance with BG’s strategic goals and strategies
  • Ability to negotiate cohesive 360 partnership programs with clear strategies and executional tactics
  • Project management of partnership integration, including fulfillment reports, budgets and recaps
  • Execution of partnerships including coordination of general production / logistics and partnership fulfillment
  • Measure, and report the results of various projects with partners, including co-created and/or co-branded content promotions and / or event partnerships
  • Manage communication with clients to ensure materials and information are provided in a timely, professional manner
  • Research, source and qualify partnerships and negotiate partnership parameters i.e. sponsorship fees, brand integration, added value, etc.


    Required Skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications preferred
  • Minimum five years’ experience in events, sponsorship or partnership marketing required
  • Direct marketing, social media and retail experience a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
  • Organized; ability to multi-task and perform projects under a tight deadline
  • Flexible team player with a high level of energy and commitment
