The Global Sponsorships & Brand Experience team cultivates and activates customer partnerships with leading brands in sports and entertainment to deliver impactful content, media and event experiences that help make our brand relevant and authentic. How You'll Make Your Mark:
We are seeking a savvy Sr. Sponsorship Marketing Manager with deep experience in brand-side sports marketing and knowledge of the rights landscape who can work effectively with stakeholders across a complex global organization to build and execute an array of marketing programs - from content to interactive showcases to customer hospitality using assets available through sponsorship partners. You will also have experience building sponsorship strategies and have expertise in structuring sponsorship deals, conducting valuation analyses and negotiating contracts.
You will have end to end responsibility over the management and activation of a number of high-profile sponsorship partners. You will be accountable for optimizing all the assets within your partnerships and will develop activation plans using the assets, track and measure program performance, build and execute customer hospitality events, create relevant content and drive adoption of HPE solutions with your partner.
Lead key partnerships with customers in sports and entertainment including day to day relationship management, technology adoption, marketing activation, approvals for use of marks and customer event execution
Work across business units and functions to build and sell-in program opportunities
Measure and track partnership and program specific performance and conduct ROI/ROO analysis for quarterly business reviews to executive management
Conduct competitive analysis and position HPE as an industry leader
Act as subject matter expert on sponsorship activation to advise and guide internal partners on program development
Scout and evaluate new partnership opportunities that have the potential to advance HPE’s marketing objectives
Manage contractual joint marketing funds and activation program budgets
Prepare executive communications and presentations
Manage agency team
We need someone who is a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who applies industry experience with knowledge of trends and interest in new innovations to be successful in this role. Equally important is the ability to drive towards decisions and lead flawless program executions. While you can work independently, you are a natural team player who enjoys working in close collaboration with internal and external partners to make things happen.
Business Analyst (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Marketing or related field; MBA or Masters in Sports Management/Marketing preferred
Extensive experience in sponsorship marketing, partnership activation and experiential marketing at a top tier agency, brand or global sports and entertainment property
Must have prior experience with an experiential or sponsorship agency
Knowledge of the eSports landscape and experience with gaming is preferred
Customer hospitality event design and execution at major global sporting events such as Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl, Ryder Cup, and Formula 1
Budget development, management and reconciliation
Education and Experience Required:
Mastery of B2B marketing principles, practices, tactics and tools
Tech aptitude – ability to understand HPE’s solution portfolio and roadmaps
Strong business acumen and understanding of optimizing B2B marketing and technology partnerships with sports and entertainment properties
Expert knowledge of sponsorship deal structures with properties, talent, athletes; sponsorship asset values and intellectual property rights
Detailed oriented with expertise in project management, operations and logistics management
Ability to build and flawlessly execute premium customer hospitality programs at major sports and entertainment events
Strategic thinker and skilled problem solver
Direct global experience from managing global partnerships, implementing programs in multiple geographies and/or working with stakeholders in local markets on programs
Possess undeniable executive presence and ability to interface effectively with senior management across different business functions
Thrives in a demanding fast-paced environment and can handle unpredictable heavy workloads and frequent travel that often spans weekends
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and team-based culture
Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build, manage and influence virtual teams in complex global organizations
Excellent written/oral communications, presentation and analytical skills
Mastery in Microsoft Office365 suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint, procurement, budgeting, and other software as required by this role
