Social Media & Content Marketing:

  • Manage and lead Social Media Manager and Social Content Creators.
  • Manage Social Media strategy, objectives, goals and priorities as it relates to product launches, brand/fan engagement, athlete announcements and event activations.
  • Maintain detailed social brand playbook, social strategy and cohesive content calendars for all social media channels.
  • Work with Social Media Manager to develop and maintain strategic influencer program, working with key social media personalities to tell our product and brands stories in an authentic way.
  • Manage influencer contracts and partnerships.
  • Work with Social Media Manager and athletes’ teams on monthly social media calendars to ensure regular posting on behalf of the brands.
  • Manage paid social, content creation, photography, editing, and influencer budgets.
  • Assist in copywriting assignments as needed.
  • Marketing Communications & Public Relations
  • Develop and manage comprehensive public relations programs and media strategies for all company endeavors (for COBRA Golf & PUMA Golf) including product launches, athlete signings, corporate partnerships and more.
  • Work closely with marketing, digital, retail and product teams to ensure alignment of integrated communications plans across all segments for key product story messaging and brand positioning for both brands.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key endemic (Golf media) and non-endemic (lifestyle media), influencers and bloggers. Pitch and secure traditional product press coverage in golf, lifestyle, sport media with a focus on digital media, TV, and other online outlets.
  • Work with Marketing Coordinator to manage sample ordering and seeding process, develop press kits and distribute to media for product reviews and product placement.
  • Enhance product copy, win announcements, corporate information press releases, and talking points for distribution to the global marketing team and a global media list.
  • Leverage COBRA PUMA GOLF ambassadors, along with new signing opportunities and key athlete wins on Tour to gain additional product media coverage.
  • Evaluate media inquiries for CPG athlete interviews, photoshoots, feature stories as needed. Promote athlete tournament wins throughout all media channels.
  • Manage external PR, Social Media and Influencer agencies.
  • Provide detailed reporting & analytics on all social channel engagement and paid social metrics.


    Internal Communications:

  • Work closely with the GM, senior leadership and global marketing teams to lead and execute communications plans focused on strategic messaging and internal events for product launches, athlete activations and company milestones.
  • Serves as communications counsel to the GM, VP of Marketing and VP of Research & Development. Vet and facilitate all media requests and speaking opportunities, develop talking points and FAQs as needed.
  • Develop consistent, timely and meaningful communications to ensure employees are informed about company announcements, highlights and milestones and product launches.
  • Work closely with PUMA Corporate Comms and North America PR teams to ensure there is alignment with lifestyle & sport media outreach as needed for specific product launches or media opportunities. Work with PUMA’s Entertainment team to assist with seeded of celebrity clients and key influencers.


    Required Skills

  • 8-10 years’ experience working in Social Media Management, Content Marketing, Public Relations and Corporate Communications; golf or sports experience preferred
  • College degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
  • Strong writing skills a must; ability to write about golf is key.
  • Existing relationships with key media contacts in and outside of golf is preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and manage complex projects simultaneously and be deadline oriented. Keen attention to detail
  • Positive attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit; Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage PR/Communications/Social Media budgets
  • Comfortable working with high-level executives and talent/athletes
  • Willing to work weekends and evenings during key event periods.
  • Willing to travel multiple times throughout the year.
  • Strong understanding, from a global perspective, of how traditional public relations integrates with Social Media, Marketing, Sales, Digital
  • Marketing and Sports Marketing. Work with global teams to ensure alignment of all launches across multiple platforms.
