It is the primary responsibility of the Corporate Entertainment Marketing and Sponsorship team to deliver unique, memorable, and world class entertainment experiences to our guests, employees, and partners, while delivering consistent, innovative, and efficient operations.
The Manager of Sponsorship Sales will develop and execute sales plans for achieving targets through individual account plans to prospect and close deals.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with department and MGM Resorts International policies and procedures and legal requirements.
At all times, must ensure the goals and interest of the department, division and all MGM Resorts International properties (individually and collectively) are upheld and preserved.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Oversee all steps in the process of a partnership sale, including but not limited to : o Targeting and qualifying leads
Setting up and conducting needs analysis meetings
Collaborating with the prospects and the various departments within the organization to shape a prospective deal (including the financial analysis of the deal)
Preparing the proposal (or reviewing and editing those by the Corporate Partnerships department) both for terms and language
Making presentations o Partnership negotiations o Finalizing agreements
Creating, reviewing, editing and negotiating partnership contracts following through to signature o Working with the service team on implementation and activation of the agreements o Managing the financial terms of the agreement
Identify and create fully integrated partnerships with national and local companies consisting of digital, TV, in arena signage, promotions, retail promotions, publications, tickets, suites, hospitality, community relations, retail activation programs, radio, and any other assets sold by the department.
Manage inventory and department rate card; Maintains sales forecasts and budgets
Maintain communication and cooperation with brand activation and operations teams to ensure feasibility of platforms
Manage recurring and continuing contracts
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Two (2) years of hotel sales department, entertainment, advertising or special event experience
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
PREFERRED :
MBA or other advanced degree
Experience working in entertainment, sports or a related field
Experience in a hotel / resort setting
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Proficient in PC software (Stratus, Windows, Excel, MS Word, Daylight and Microsoft Exchange)
Must have a proven track record of closing six figures and above long term, integrated partnerships
Must be very knowledgeable in the practices and principles related to the sale, negotiation, implementation and execution of contractual corporate partnership process
Must have the ability to respond quickly and effectively to corporate partner inquires or complaints and deliver an effective resolution that will not comprise the team’s integrity or financial position
Builds and maintains strong internal and external professional relationships.
Ability to influence across teams to achieve goals required.
