A music fest for the rest of us: Brokechella returns with its third edition in the heart of DTLA at its home venue six01. Don’t miss what the LA Times recognized as the community experience that skips “the mortal terror of your credit card statement [at other festivals]” and “revels in staying at home.” Doubling in size year to year, in 2013 we’ll be exploding past that attendee number into the thousands. Boasting a crop of beloved LA acts, last year featured Infantree, LA Font, Rumspringa, Big Moves and yOya, among others across two stages. Inside, bands played all day to packed crowds, while DJs led a horde of dance-fiends at the Jarritos stage outside. What does 2013 hold? A bigger, better music festival, including the integration of a first-ever hip-hop stage, all for the same grassroots Brokefest price.
