PPG Industries signs deal with Consol Energy Center <p>Get ready for the PPG Paints Arena.<p>PPG has reached a deal to puts its name on the Uptown arena, replacing Consol Energy Inc.<p>The Penguins are expected to announce the new deal at a press conference this morning. Team officials declined comment.<p>The change will take effect immediately.<p>Consol is giving up the naming rights six years into a deal that was to run 21 years. Its name has been on the arena since it opened in 2010.<p>However, the company will remain as a team sponsor.<p>The PPG deal will be long term, although the number of years and the amount of money it is paying is not known. Such deals typically are worth millions of dollars.<p>Neither PPG nor Consol officials could immediately be reached for comment.<p>Consol has struggled recently because of low natural gas and coal prices, reporting losses in the first and second quarters this year.<p>Mark Belko: email@example.com.

Consol Energy Center, which will host concerts and shows as well as National Hockey League games, will be one component of a vibrant region, he said.
American Eagle Outfitters sponsors Consol Energy Center The five new sponsors, which each signed 7- to 10-year deals valued at seven figures, are American Eagle Outfitters, Dick’s Sporting Goods, PNC Wealth Management, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Verizon, according to industry sources.
