Notes on Undoing is an exhibition showcasing the new work by Croatian emerging and mid-career artists in New York City, the contemporary art capital of the world.

Developed by Croatian curator, Branka Bencic, the theme of the show – Notes on Undoing - aims to “question the spatial relationship and interaction between objects and subjects. It gathers the artists that are creating different contexts through fiction and narration to build a dialogue and interact with their works”.

To provide additional insight into contemporary art production in Croatia, Notes on Undoing will also present an accompanied program of video screenings and discussions.

Notes on Undoing will be a 4-week exhibition opening in November 2014 at Garis & Hahn, a contemporary art gallery located on Bowery NYC. The gallery is donating the use of their 200sqm street-level space for duration the show.

This will be the inaugural exhibition for Ikon Arts Foundation in NYC. Its aim is to create the first of an annual showcase that will provide much needed exposure in the US to young artists living and working in Croatia. A selection of artists that will be in the show includes Igor Eskinja (Radoslav Putar award winner / ISCP NYC alumni), Damir Ocko (winner of HDLU Croatian artists association annual award for young artists 2012), Marko Tadic (winner of the Radoslav Putar Award, ISCP NYC alumni), Dino Zrnec (winner of HDLU Croatian artists association annual award for young artists 2011), Viktor Popovic (CEC Artslink Alumni), Hrvoje Slovenc, Vlatka Horvat, Zlatko Kopljar and Marko Markovic (winner of the Radislav Putar Award, ISCP NYC alumni).
