As an integral part of the Festival Of The Horse & Drum© the 1st Equus Film Festival© is a collection of Documentaries and Film Shorts focusing on horses and the impact they have on our lives. From Rupert Isaacson’s documentary The Horse Boy, telling the story of his son’s Autism and how horses helped to bring understanding and communication back to their relationship, to The Farmer and The Horse, the story of the modern day plow horse used in sustainable farming today. Our mission is to create a Film Festival where Equestrian documentarians, students, commercial developers and just lovers of horses can bring their works to an audience who is there because of the common thread of the horse.
