Reebok sponsors Jose Aldo Jose Aldo will be getting some sweet new digs from Reebok. Jose Aldo and three other fighters have signed a deal with Reebok, in a deal announced at an event in Sao Paulo on Thursday. Also, bantamweight prospect Thomas Almeida, bantamweight Felipe Arantes and strawweight Claudia Gadelha have inked deals with the company. Aldo most recently lost his title to Conor McGregor back in December at UFC 194. Aldo has expressed his interest in wanting a rematch for the title, but with Conor McGregor moving up weight classes for other fights, it’s unknown when the featherweight belt will be defended. Aldo may have to wait a few months for another shot at the title. Almeida has been on a tear since signing with the UFC. He has a unanimous decision win over Tim Gorman in his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 56 and he that followed that victory up with an impressive first round TKO over Yves Jabouin at UFC 186. Almeida then faced Brad Pickett at UFC 189 in what was his biggest test to date and although he faced some adversity in the first round, he was able to bounce back in the second round and score a highlight reel flying knee knockout. His most recent knockout win was against Anthony Birchak back in November at UFC Fight Night 77. Arantes has been in the promotion since 2011 and just recently decided to move down to bantamweight. He found some success against Yves Jabouin back at UFC Fight Night 74 by submitting him late in the first round. One of the top strawweight fighters in the world, Gadelha made her UFC debut back at UFC Fight Night 45 and picked up a unanimous decision win over Tina Lahdemaki. She then faced current champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC on FOX 13, and although it was a competitive fight, she lost by split decision. Gadelha bounced back with a unanimous decision victory against Jessica Aguilar at UFC 190 and is now slated for a rematch against Jedrzejczyk for the strawweight title at the Ultimate Fighter 23 Finale in July.
