A salsa congress is a multi-day dance festival consisting of workshops, social dancing, performances and competitions with a focus on Salsa. The New York International Salsa Congress is the largest gathering of social latin dancers globally and a hallmark event for latin dancers everywhere. The even features daily dance workshops by the world's top dancers, a matinee talent show showcasing local talent and a final performance of the world's top latin dance talents. Each evening we bring live salsa bands and multinational performing artists to entertain at our evening dance socials. Our evening parties runs three concurrent parties including a salsa big band soiree, a live DJ mixing Bachata and urban latin celebration, and a third festivity where we slow down the pace with Kizomba, Zouk, Reggae and other dances.

Our event caters to all ages with dancers as young as 5 years old and as old as 95 - But even those numbers are flexible. We are proud to welcome people from every quarter of the world including the Caribbean islands (Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Jamaica), Latin America (Argentina, Chila, Colombia, Venezuela), Europe (Spain, France, Germany, United Kingdom), Asia (China, Japan, Singapore) and Africa (South Africa, Nigeria). While some come from all over the world to learn with the best dancers, others come from the local Tri State Area and Greater New York Metropolitan Area for our evening socials.

Our previous festivals have been at the New York Hilton by Central Park, and at The New Yorker Wyndham by Penn Station. Our 2016 festival will be at the New York Marquis Hotel by Time Square.
