Motorcycle Racing
The Reno Extreme desert motorcycle race will be held July 12-14, 2013 at the Tahoe-Reno Motorplex just outside Reno, Nev.

As part of a partnership between Get-Xtr-Eme, High Desert Racing Association, SCORE International and the American Motorcyclist Association, the race will run alongside, and sometimes underneath, the concurrent HDRA Reno 500 truck and buggy race. Just as the Reno 500 course is considered the most brutal out of all HDRA race courses, the 75-mile moto race will be one of the toughest races of the desert moto season.

This race will award points for:
AMA/FMF/GPR National Hare and Hound Round 8, GXE Motorcycle Endurance Racing Round 3, and SCORE/HDRA World Championship of Desert Racing.

The multi-organization partnership also means that the Reno Extreme and Reno 500 will not only have a shared tech and contingency, they will also share a 3-day Dirt Live Expo, July 10-12, in downtown Reno and demo days at the Tahoe-Reno Motorplex connected by shuttle for attendees to interact with vendors and test equipment.

Last year’s dual race, then called the Fireworks 500 and Fireworks Extreme, was attended by 1000 people, and the 1-day tech and contingency “Downtown Experience” was attended by over 10,000 people. This year, the 3-day, pre-race event, which will have off-road, moto and food vendors, multiple stages with live entertainment, Monster Energy FMX team demonstrations and a stationary tech and contingency for race bikes and vehicles, is expected to attract over 30,000 people.
