St George's Park (SGP) is the English Football Association's national football centre on a 330-acre (130 ha) site at Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire.[1] The centre was officially opened by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on 9 October 2012.[2] The purpose of the centre is to be the base for all coaching and development work undertaken by the FA, and the training and preparation ground for all of the England national football teams. read more

Continental Tire signs deal with St. George's Park The FA has announced an agreement with Continental Tyres to become an Official Supporting Partner of St. George’s Park. The four-year deal will see Continental join Nike, BT and Hilton as a another globally recognised organisation working in partnership with the National Football Centre.Continental's presence at the National Football Centre will include a 60-metre indoor high performance running track, a goalkeeping ‘stopping zone’ and a bespoke ContiWarmUp area to enable all players to prepare before a game or training session. They will also have a presence in the forthcoming online training area section on TheFA.com. The new area of the website will act as a dedicated resource to deliver effective warm up activities that can be tailored to players of all ages and abilities.Holly Glover, commercial manager at St. George’s Park, said: “The deal with Continental is a hugely significant one for St. George’s Park. “As a world leading brand, they bring with them a wealth of expertise and knowledge from having worked in football for many years on a global level.“We’re hugely excited about what the partnership can achieve over the next four years.” Meanwhile, Continental’s sponsorship manager Laura Hardy commented: “The facility is a real investment in the future of football in England and supporting that is really core to our values. “We are committed to all levels of football from grass roots to elite and St. George’s Park typifies this for us. “The integration of ContiWarmUp at St. George’s Park, is great for us and the work that we have done to create a platform that really gives a tangible asset back to the game.”St. George’s Park is located in the heart of England, at Burton upon Trent and was officially opened by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in October 2012.
