Sega Corporation, usually styled as SEGA, is a multinational video game software developer and an arcade software and hardware development company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, with various offices around the world. Sega previously developed and manufactured its own brand of home video game consoles from 1983 to 2001, but a restructure was announced on January 31, 2001 that ceased continued production of its existing home console, effectively exiting the company from the home console business.[3] While arcade development would continue unchanged, the restructure shifted the focus of the company's home video game software development to consoles developed by various third-party manufacturers. Sega sponsors Bundesliga 07/2017 July 18 – Germany’s Bundesliga has renewed one of its key digital gaming partnership with Electronic Arts but at the same time added to the sponsorship category with new partners in Konami and Sega.

Sega sponsors Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee 11/2014 Tsunekazu Takeda, President of both the Tokyo bid and the Japanese Olympic Committee, said he was delighted to welcome the new groups on board, adding that the strength of the bid's corporate sponsorship programme testified to the "tremendous potential" for the Japanese city to attract sponsors if awarded the Games.
