Taittinger is a French wine family who are famous producers of Champagne. The estate is headed by Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger , a member of the consultative committee of the Banque de France. Its diversified holdings included Champagne Taittinger, Société du Louvre and Concorde Hotels, whose flagship is the famed Hotel de Crillon on the Place de la Concorde in Paris, France as well as the Loire Valley wine producing firm of Bouvet-Ladubay, and a partnership in Domaine Carneros in California, until it was sold to Starwood Capital in 2005.
BAFTA Los Angeles was established in California in 1987 and serves as a bridge between the Hollywood and British production and entertainment business communities. Comprised of Members from all disciplines of the industry, BAFTA Los Angeles supports, develops and promotes the art forms of the moving image, by identifying and rewarding excellence, inspiring practitioners and benefiting the public. BAFTA Los Angeles hosts seminars and panel discussions, brings film and filmmakers to inner city groups, provides scholarships for student filmmakers, and preserves archival interviews with prominent UK artists and technicians for the education of future generations. We nurture and support emerging filmmakers, encourage continued studies of the arts, and provide insights into new advances in technologies. Identifying and rewarding excellence, inspiring practitioners and benefiting the public. We provide Members with a wide variety of activities including an extensive screenings program, Q&A sessions with the leading filmmakers, and networking and educational opportunities. Each year, we celebrate and reward excellence through our major Hollywood events including the Britannia Awards, the Awards Season Tea Party, and the Television Tea Party.
