Advocare Takes Sponsorship Strategy Grassroots With Sportsvite Partnership

Multi-level marketing company, AdvoCare, best known for its title sponsorship of the Independence Bowl, is launching a nationwide rec league sponsorship program with Sportsvite, a digital platform for amateur sports leagues. AdvoCare will activate 14 local adult sports league sponsorships in nine different markets, creating opportunities for its multi-level marketing force to interact with Sportsvite members in each of the designated markets. Terms of the deal were not released.

On-site promotion includes sampling of AdvoCare Spark Energy Drink and Rehydrate Electrolyte Replacement Drink as well as AdvoCare branding and access to league activities and events. The sponsorship is designed to allow local AdvoCare Independent Distributors to connect directly with active young adults and put product into players' hands at the playing field.

Sponsored leagues will have playoffs and championship games officially branded as AdvoCare Bowls or The AdvoCare Cup. AdvoCare will also provide a championship stipend to enhance the experience for players. These unique activations include personalized trophies, championship shirts and professionally produced game DVDs.

"We thought of the active people at these parks and playing fields and said, 'This is exactly who we need to reach! '" AdvoCare Marketing Vice President Jan Wold said. "This sponsorship program allows us to do just that."

"I give AdvoCare tremendous credit for recognizing the value of sponsoring recreational sports in a way that enhances the player's experience during games and activities," Sportsvite General Manager Brian Litvack noted. "AdvoCare has brought their own A-Game in developing a new and unique property that they can fully own in the crowded field of sports sponsorship."
