After Five Decades, Film Partner Is Out At Disneyland

In a sign of the times, Kodak, having served as the official film and camera partner at Disneyland since the park opened in 1955, announced on Monday that it will no longer sponsor the Disney's iconic Kodak picture spots located throughout Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Kodak was one of three remaining original sponsors, along with Coca-Cola and Nestlé.

The announcement marks the latest in a series of announcements unraveling sponsorships the company had entered, including deals with the PGA Tour and the former Kodak Theatre, now named after Dolby.

"Disney and Kodak have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship for many years and Kodak thanks Disney for its outstanding partnership," Audrey Jonckheer, a Kodak spokeswoman, said in a statement.
