American Eagle To Intramural Team Captains: Call Us

American Eagle has made no secret of its desire to connect with college students, recently signing a three year deal with the Big East, but what you may not know is that the Pittsburgh-based retail clothing chain is taking a much broader tactic, too. AE is sponsoring local intramural volleyball teams across the country and it will hook up the first 12 team captains at each school to register with 12 free AE Intramural T's customized with team name on the back.

Hat tip to recent UMASS sports management alum, Michael Heberlein, for sending us a pic of AE intramural team gear at the school.

The intramural program is part of a sponsorship deal with NIRSA (National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association), which is in the second year of a four year deal running through 2014.

American Eagle now has over 900 stories throughout the U.S. and Canada. As the Fall IM season gets into full swing, make sure your local team captain checks out the branded micro site, AEintramurals.com.
