Batman Takes Promotion To The Track With Motorsports Partnership

Lotus F1 Team and Warner Bros. super hero film, The Dark Knight Rises, have teamed up to promote the film's upcoming launch. At this weekends’ Formula One British Grand Prix both Lotus cars – in addition to the team’s garage, driver helmets and overalls – will feature the film’s iconic logo. The batmobile and Bat-Pod will also be on display at the track as part of the promotion which promotes the Dark Knight's July 20th launch.

“This season we have been the dark horses in the championship fight, so this partnership with The Dark Knight Rises is a fantastic match," Eric Boullier, Lotus F1 Team, Team Principal said. "Our car, the E20, looks superb with the Batman branding and we are looking forward to seeing the reaction of our numerous fans when it takes to the Silverstone circuit this weekend. We are certainly hoping for an epic conclusion for The Dark Knight Rises E20 in the Grand Prix.”

Stateside, Warner Bros. is promoting the film with a tour and sponsors of its own. Mountain Dew and IMAX are sponsoring the Tumbler Tour with over 50 stops across the country leading up to the release.
