Budweiser To Stream FA Cup on Facebook

It didn't take long for the FA Cup's new title sponsors to make a splash with their sponsorship. For the first time in history, an FA Cup match will be streamed live on Facebook. The opening game of the FA Cup, between Ascot United and Wembley FC will be shown live on Budweiser's Facebook page.

"As a long-standing supporter of football globally, Budweiser is committed to brining the world`s most prestigious knockout competition closer to the fans," said marketing director Ian Newell. "What better way to demonstrate this than by broadcasting the very first kick to a global audience via Facebook."

Budweiser replaced E.ON as the FA Cup's main sponsor in June, signing an £8million-a-year, 3-year deal for the privilege.

"This is the first time a FA Cup tournament fixture has been broadcast live on the social network, which is great news for football fans and clubs alike," Newell said.
