Cessna Courts Well-Heeled Travelers With PGA Tour Deal

Cessna Aircraft Company has signed a three-year sponsorship to become a PGA TOUR Official Marketing Partner through 2014. The Wichita, KS-based company becomes the "Official Business Aircraft Manufacturer of the PGA TOUR and Champions Tour."

Cessna says it will utilize its relationship with the PGA TOUR for brand-building purposes, developing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. Further, the company plans to host key business partners at events in key markets.

"In golf, elite players continually seek ways to increase their competitive edge. Similarly our customers use our aircraft as their competitive advantage to position their businesses to win in the marketplace," said Roxanne Bernstein, Cessna's senior vice president for marketing. "Our partnership with the PGA TOUR is a natural fit, as golf is a part of many of our customers' personal lifestyles and, just like a business jet, a tool for doing business."

"We are extremely pleased to announce this new sponsorship agreement with Cessna, whose business and strategic objectives align so well with the PGA TOUR and our audience," PGA TOUR's Chief Marketing Officer Tom Wade said. "We look forward to helping Cessna meet its business objectives through this relationship."

Cessna's relationship with the PGA Tour extends back to 2007, when it first sponsored its hometown event, The Wichita Open.
