Clearly, Deion Sanders Hasn't Lost His Touch With Corporate America

Deion Sanders helped pioneer the modern idea of commercial endorsements back in the 90's. So it comes as no surprise that as part of his induction to the Hall of Fame last weekend, he thanked his corporate sponsor Under Armour in his Hall of Fame speech (to the dismay of some), wore a UA lapel and for his first official party as Hall of Famer, had not one, but six corporate sponsors: Grey Goose vodka, Sean John, Gigaré Collection, Kilwin's Chocolates, ASEA Water, and Signazon.com.

“When my team brought the sponsorship to me, I knew we needed to get involved,” says Nicole Chilton, Marketing Manager at Signazon.com, “We're based in Dallas, so we're loyal to Deion, a former Cowboy, plus we have the capability for white ink printing on a clear material, which is exactly what Tee needed and is something a lot of printers can't do.”

The result? A sponsorship and an adhesive-free flute design that included a profile of Sanders in uniform and his legendary number “21." All in all, this weekend proving Neon Deion may have retired, but he hasn't missed a beat at the sponsorship game. Check out his speech below.

Proceeds from Deion Sanders Hall of Fame party benefited Sanders' non-profit organization, The PrimeTime Association, a mentoring program for youth.
