Grand Marnier Serves Up U.S. Open Olympus Series Sponsorship

Grand Marnier Liqueur has entered into a partnership with the USTA to become an official sponsor of the Olympus US Open Series. Grand Marnier will also sponsor seven Olympus US Open Series events, including the Atlanta Tennis Championships, Farmers Classic, Bank of the West Classic, Mercury Insurance Open, Western & Southern Financial Group Masters & Women’s Open and Pilot Pen Tennis.

The sponsorship will support Grand Marnier in its launch of two new signature cocktails – The Grand Smash and The Grand Cran – and will establish an on-going relationship with the sport of tennis. Grand Marnier will have a branded tent at each Olympus US Open Series sponsored event where it will serve its new drinks in co-branded red tennis ball souvenir cups. Grand Marnier brand ambassadors will also be on-site at each event educating tennis fans on the Grand Marnier brand and providing recipes.

“The USTA is excited to add Grand Marnier to our list of Olympus US Open Series sponsors,” said Harlan Stone, Chief Business and Marketing Officer, USTA. “Grand Marnier’s commitment to the Olympus US Open Series further endorses the appeal of the Olympus US Open Series as an effective marketing platform for companies in virtually any and all business categories.”

“We are extremely excited to participate in this year’s Olympus US Open Series events and look forward to building a successful long-term partnership,” said R. Scott Green, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Marnier-Lapostolle Wines and Spirits. “The demographic and psychographic profile of the tournament attendees perfectly dovetails with our own target consumers – they are passionate about living life to the fullest and in a truly vibrant and stylish manner.”

Other Olympus US Open Series sponsors include American Express, evian and SPDR Gold Shares.
