Heluva Good News for Watkins Glen

Watkins Glen International today announced that Heluva Good! will continue as the title sponsor for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race through 2011. The two year agreement is a two track deal that includes the title sponsorship for Michigan International Speedway’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in June. The 25th running of the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen will be held on August 8th, during its traditional weekend, and will be broadcast live on ESPN.

"We were very excited that Heluva Good! selected WGI for their first entitlement of a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in 2009 and are thrilled that they will be back with us for another two years,” said Michael Printup, president of Watkins Glen International. “We knew that the mix of our legendary circuit, our NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, and a great consumer product like Heluva Good! was a winning combination and are not at all surprised that our fans have embraced both them and their delicious products. I know that I always make sure my fridge at home is stocked with Heluva Good! dips and have enjoyed them, especially the always tasty French Onion, for many years.”

“Heluva Good! is proud to return as the title sponsor of the ‘Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen’ in our birthplace, Upstate New York,” said Chris Ross, Vice President of Marketing at Heluva Good!. “The Heluva Good! brand is built on bold flavors and personality, which complement the characteristics of NASCAR’s passionate fans.”

Heluva Good! will remain the official dip product of Watkins Glen International for 2010 and 2011. The Sodus, NY-based company will become the title sponsor for the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400 at Michigan International Speedway on Sunday, June 13, and be designated the official cheese and dip products of MIS.
