Mercedes-Benz To End Fashion Week Sponsorship
Fashion's biggest sponsor, Mercedes-Benz, will drop its title sponsorship of Fashion Week in New York following this year's Fall 2015 edition in February. That's according to fashion trade site, Racked via WWD, which also reports that IMG/WME is planning to move the event to a new location and acquire rival, MADE Fashion Week. Despite the decision, a Mercedes-Benz spokesman tells WWD that the automaker will continue to support fashion globally and still plans to be involved with more than 50 fashion events in 30 countries.
Mercedes-Benz has been New York Fashion Week's top sponsor since 2007.
