NBA Sponsor Kicked Out of Kawhi's All-Star Game Presser

Many times an athlete's individual sponsors may not be perfectly aligned with the sponsors of the team or league in which they're playing. In fact, player sponsorships are often viewed as a great way to circumvent league sponsors in a competitive and costly category like sports drinks. Have you ever had to handle athlete/performer/personality sponsor conflicts? What strategies did you employ to protect your event/team/league sponsors?
