Right Guard Renews with the NBA

The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Right Guard have agreed to extend their marketing partnership through a new multi-year agreement.

Through the partnership, Right Guard, already the Official Deodorant of the NBA, will engage NBA fans through a variety of initiatives, including retail promotions, NBA-themed advertisements, and online content. The official NBA branding currently appears on all Right Guard® Total Defense 5 packages, the newest addition to the Right Guard line of antiperspirants and deodorants, combining for more than 25 million units on shelves at retail outlets throughout the nation.

New to the agreement, Right Guard has expanded its partnership to include Canada. Right Guard will also support the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) as a partner of the WNBA Inspiring Women's Luncheon. This event recognizes individuals who inspire others through their commitment and dedication to work, family, and community by presenting them with the WNBA Inspiration Award.

"Our NBA partnership has been a great way for Right Guard to engage with the NBA fan and continue to build on the brand's long-standing sports heritage," said Toby Gubitz, VP of Marketing for Right Guard.

"Right Guard has made a significant commitment to its NBA partnership and we look forward to developing new and exciting programs for NBA fans," said Mark Tatum, NBA Executive Vice President of Global Marketing Partnerships. "Both brands are synonymous with high performance, and this partnership will be a great vehicle through which to convey that excitement and energy and for Right Guard to continue to develop innovative, far-reaching retail programs."

Right Guard will continue to run national consumer promotions and be a visible partner throughout the NBA season, including NBA All-Star, the NBA Playoffs, and The Finals.

In 2008, Right Guard became the NBA's Official Deodorant.
