Ryan Seacrest Buys A Sponsorship Firm!
Civic Entertainment Group, a sponsorship and event marketing firm that counts Southwest Airlines, HBO, Kiehl's, the History Channel, ESPN, the NFL and CNN among its clients, has been purchased by the American Idol host's growing investment arm, Seacrest Global Group. Civic is well known for integrating branded experiences into municipal properties such as Southwest Airlines' pop-up porch in Bryant Park and Lifetime's virtual runway on the High Line.
"I have been to big brand events and hosted them and saw what went into creating them and thought we should own a company that does this," Seacrest said according to Ad Age.
The TV star plans to put the agency's infrastructure and capabilities to work in creating live TV events and bringing additional entertainment clients to the agency.
