Sony Ericsson Will Not Renew WTA Deal After 2012
Sony Ericsson has said it will not extend its sponsorship of the Women's Tennis Association after the current agreement ends December 31st, 2012. Sony Ericsson signed a six-year sponsorship agreement worth $88 million in 2005 to become the WTA Tour’s title sponsor and extended the relationship in 2010 by two years.
Earlier this year, Sony bought Ericsson out of the joint venture that created Sony Ericsson, which was originally established in 2001.
