TicketCity Titles Dallas Bowl Game

Austin-based secondary ticket company, TicketCity, has become the title sponsor of the first Dallas Football Classic, now officially named the TicketCity Bowl. Terms of the deal were not released.

The inaugural TicketCity Bowl will be held on January 1, 2011 at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas, Texas and will host teams from the Big Ten and the Big 12 conferences.

"We are more than excited to be part of the continuing tradition of post-season college football at the historic Cotton Bowl," says Randy Cohen, Founder and CEO of TicketCity. "We look forward to this opportunity to be part of an unforgettable experience for TicketCity clients, our employees, college football fans and the Dallas community. What a way to kick off the New Year!"

Should the University of Texas qualify for a bowl game, TicketCity Founder, Randy Cohen, could be hosting his alma mater. Cohen started TicketCity by re-selling tickets out of his dorm room in 1988 while a student at the University of Texas at Austin.

"Obviously we are extremely pleased to have TicketCity as our title partner," says Tom Starr, Bowl President & CEO. "The rapid rise of TicketCity to the top of its field of endeavor is a story that we hope to emulate with our new bowl. The name is a natural for a bowl game and we are honored to have it in our title as we kick off what is destined to become a major New Year's Day post-season college football attraction."

Additional TicketCity bowl sponsorships include the BBVA Compass Bowl, Beef O' Brady's Bowl, Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl, MAACO Bowl Las Vegas, New Mexico Bowl and the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl; in addition to the Texas Tech-Baylor Shootout regular season game. TicketCity's official collegiate partnerships include Georgia Tech Athletics, TCU Athletics, University of California, Berkeley Athletics and Vanderbilt University Athletics.
