Wimbledon Adds Three New Partners For 2011

True to its aim of "not commercialising the Grounds overtly," Wimbledon has maintained a short list of long term corporate relationships over the years stretching all the way back to Slazenger's partnership, secured in 1902. Which isn't to say other brands aren't trying to make it on the grounds, but this year three new brands legitimately earned their place among the ranks of Wimbledon's Official Suppliers. They are Jacob's Creek (also the official wine of the Australian Open), Lavazza (official coffee) and Sony (official 3D partner).

Here's the full list of 2011 supplies:

  • Slazenger - Official Ball (since 1902)
  • Robinsons - Official Still Soft Drink (1934)
  • Rolex - Official Timekeeper (1978)
  • IBM - Official Supplier of Information Technology (1990)
  • Hertz - Official Car (1995)
  • G4S - Official Security Services Provider (1998)
  • Lanson - Official Champagne (2001)
  • Ralph Lauren - Official Outfitter (2006)
  • HSBC - Official Banking Partner (2007)
