With 40 Million Streams To Date, American Express Takes Its Act Overseas

American Express Unstaged, the live streaming music series launched in 2010, is taking its act overseas with a live performance from Coldplay in Madrid later this month. The popular series, which is in partnership with VEVO and YouTube, has been streamed over 40 million times over the course of five concerts. The latest performance will be livestreamed globally from Madrid on October 26 on YouTube and will also be made available on mobile devices via VEVO and YouTube apps for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Android.

Coldplay will be paired with award-winning filmmaker Anton Corbijn, who will manage production of the concert, which will be the sixth installment within the "American Express Unstaged" music series and the first performance from a venue outside of the United States.

"Anton Corbijn has been a big hero to us for a long long time so we're thrilled to be beaming this concert out to the world through his lens," lead singer Chris Martin said. "We can’t wait to share this experience with him and with all of our fans watching ‘American Express Unstaged’ around the world. It's going to be big."

Tickets for the October 26 performance at the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid are available for American Express Cardmembers during a three-day exclusive presale window beginning October 7th. Fans who can't make the concert can access a looped rebroadcast of the "American Express Unstaged" performance at www.youtube.com/coldplayVEVO during a limited 48 hour window, via on-demand. #activationstag
