The Omaha Mavericks are the sports teams of the University of Nebraska Omaha. They participate in the NCAA's Division I and in The Summit League, except in ice hockey, where they compete in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).
Baxter Arena is the name of the new home for UNO Maverick athletics. Joined by representatives of Omaha’s Baxter Auto, University of Nebraska at Omaha officials on Wednesday unveiled the name of the school’s new $82 million arena, nearing completion near 67th and Center Streets.
