The Seattle Seahawks are a National Football League team based in Seattle, Washington. They are currently members of the Western Division of the National Football Conference (NFC), and joined the NFL in 1976 as an expansion team. Seattle is the only team to have played in both the AFC (American Football Conference) and NFC Championship Games.
