After the founding of the first Belk store, the company grew in size and influence throughout the South via the chain in the USA, with its stores primarily located in the Southern USA.
About Property:
The Duke’s Mayo Bowl is an annual college football bowl game that has been played at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, since 2002. The game currently features a matchup between the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and the Southeastern Conference (SEC).
Retailer Belk has signed a six-year extension to its contract as title sponsor of the annual bowl game which will feature a team from the Southeastern Conference and a team from the Atlantic Coast Conference from 2014.
