The Toronto Argonauts are a professional Canadian football team based in Toronto, Ontario representing the Toronto Metropolitan area. The Argonauts are currently members of the East Division of the Canadian Football League. The franchise was founded in 1873, and is the oldest existing professional sports teams in North America, under its current name. The Chicago Cubs and the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball are older, but both teams have changed their name more than once. They have played their home games at Rogers Centre since the stadium opened in 1989 and prior to that, played in Exhibition Stadium from 1959 to 1988.
