HealthPlus of Michigan is a health and wellness organization providing customized, nationally recognized health plans that meet the needs of large and small employers, and families and individuals, through a variety of programs, including Medicare Advantage and Medicaid. HealthPlus is headquartered in Flint, Mich., and was formed in 1979 as a not-for-profit organization.
About Property:
The HealthPlus Crim Festival of Races, held in downtown Flint, Michigan each August, features a series of races attracting about 60,000 spectators and 15,000 racers.
The Flint-based health insurance care provider announced Wednesday, Aug. 20, a two-year contract extension that keeps its name intact for the annual HealthPlus Crim Festival of Races and Tour de Crim races in 2015 and 2016. As part of the deal, HealthPlus will donate $70,000 cash and $20,000 for marketing support each year, Crim Fitness Foundation Race Director Andrew Younger said.
