The British Fashion Council (BFC) is a non-profit trade group for British fashion designers founded in 1983. Based in London and currently chaired by Harold Tillman, who took over from friend Sir Stuart Rose, its main goal is to promote British fashion design across the world. The main activities of the BFC are: organizing the London Fashion Week, managing the annual British Fashion Awards, and managing the Colleges Council which aims at developing fashion higher education in the United Kingdom and its relationship with the British fashion industry.
