Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) is an exempt public authority which provides research for the Australian red meat and livestock industry and promotes beef, lamb and goat meat in Australia and international markets. <P><BR> Its marketing activities include appearances by "Lambassador" Sam Kekovich. <P><BR> In May 2011, an exposé on the ABCTV current affairs program Four Corners revealed poor processing techniques in certain Indonesian abattoirs. Facilities included in the program had received training and equipment from Australia's live export industry, including MLA, and Government through a co-funded animal welfare program. <P><BR> From mid-2011, the Australian Government has required the adoption of a new regulatory framework for Indonesian supply chains, including independent auditing, to provide greater oversight and accountability of in-market operations
The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) is the National Olympic Committee responsible for developing, promoting and protecting the Olympic Movement in Australia. The AOC has the exclusive responsibility for the representation of Australia at the Olympic Games (Summer and Winter, the Youth Olympic Games and at Regional Games patronised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). All National Olympic Committees (currently 205 worldwide) are constituents of the International Olympic Committee.
