Major League Soccer recently kicked off its 20th season, and it’s an especially important one for the rapidly growing league. MLS is in the first season of an eight-year, $720 million TV deal with ESPN ESPN, Fox Fox and Univision, and this season also marks the debut of expansion franchises in Orlando and New York City. And the good news keeps on coming: Multinational snack food conglomerate Mondelez has signed a two-year agreement with MLS to become the league’s official snacks partner.
