Swiss soccer team FC Basel has renewed its front-of-shirt sponsorship with pharmaceutical company Novartis for four years.   The new contract, which extends a partnership first penned in 2004, will see the company’s logo continue to appear on the front of the Swiss Super League outfit’s shirts until the end of the 2016/17 season.   According to Swiss media reports the deal is likely to be worth €1.7 million (US$2.2 million) annually.
