The Race of Champions was created in 1988 and brings together drivers from a variety of motorsport series, including Formula One, Indycar, Nascar and the World Rally Championship, to compete in identical cars. Last year's event featured Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel, plus MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo. The event has previously been held in Paris, London, Beijing and Dusseldorf.
