The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) have announced Australian manufacturer STING as the Official Supplier of Boxing equipment to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018). From the 5-14 April 2018, the best Boxers in the Commonwealth will fight for Gold using STING equipment in front of a packed crowd at Oxenford Studios. GOLDOC Chairman, Peter Beattie AC said, STING is a great Australian brand that punches above its weight on the global stage. “STING will supply the Games with elite products ensuring every boxer at the Games is using a product of unrivalled quality made by an Australian company.” “Boxing fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to witness greatness rarely seen when ticket sales open to the general public from 5 July,” Mr Beattie said. STING continues its presence on the world stage after a successful Rio 2016 campaign which followed its sponsorship of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. STING Director, Amir Anis said his team were very proud to be involved in a Commonwealth Games on home soil. “STING is a proud Australian brand where our equipment is used by the world over.
