About Property:

Portland Center Stage is a theater company based in Portland, Oregon, United States. Theater productions are presented at the Gerding Theater at the Armory in Portland's Pearl District. PCS was founded in 1988 as the northern sibling of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon. It became an independent theater in 1993 and in 1994 Elizabeth Huddle became producing artistic director. Chris Coleman took over in 2000 as the company's fourth artistic director. Coleman hired design firm Sandstrom Design to help refocus the marketing strategy of PCS and increased the variety of productions.

U.S. Bank has given a $1 million gift to Portland Center Stage and will acquire the name the U.S. Bank Main Stage at the Gerding Theater at the Armory. U.S. Bank has a long relationship with PCS, sponsoring the first production, "Heartbreak House," in 1988. The theater company's first board chair when PCS  became an independent company in 1994 was Kevin Kelly, then president of U.S. Bank.
