West Virginia (i/?w?st v?r?d??nj?/) is a state in the Appalachian region of the Eastern United States. It is bordered by Virginia to the southeast, Kentucky to the southwest, Ohio to the northwest, Pennsylvania to the northeast and Maryland to the east. West Virginia is the 41st most extensive and the 37th most populous of the 50 United States. The capital and largest city is Charleston.
The Greenbrier Classic is a PGA Tour golf tournament that was played for the first time in 2010 at The Old White TPC at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. It replaced the long standing Buick Open that was played in Flint, Michigan on the tour schedule.
