The Events and Sponsorship Director is responsible for planning and producing events and managing sponsorship properties for BNY Mellon Investment Management in North America. This person has end-to-end responsibility across the full life cycle of events and sponsorships: strategy, budget build and approval, producing invitations, tracking rsvps, vendor and supplier management, event execution and post event analysis and budget reconciliation. This position will report to the Head of PR and Communications and will oversee the event management team and third party event and sponsorship consultants and planning service providers.


Required Skills

BA. MBA preferred. Minimum 12-15 years in events and sponsorship management capacity for a financial services firm. Significant experience in the management and activation of 3rd party sponsorship properties, preferably sports and academic-related. Demonstrated event planning and sponsorship management capabilities. Superior project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities with flawless execution. Positive attitude, strong ethics, team player with a strong attention to detail. Strong written, oral communication, interpersonal skills Ability to work with all levels of management. Results driven individual with emphasis on test-learn-refine. Ability to act tactically and think holistically.
